Unifying the Design Process and ERP Optimization at SCE
This session examined the entire work order process, beginning
with work flow management throughout various systems,
engineering and validation of the design, and ending with the
Bill of Material being leveraged in subsequent phases of the
work management processes. The discussion emphasizes SCE's
ability to realize the benefits of an IPSEC (Initiate, Plan,
Schedule, Execute, Close) based work order lifecycle through
integration of several work management applications. In
addition, the impact of technology change to the organization
will be discussed, including highlights of key lessons learned
from SCE's recent ERP implementation.
