Merwin Brown

Merwin Brown, University of California, is Director of Electric Transmission Research, funded by California’s Public Interest Energy Research Program managed by the California Energy Commission. Through research management positions over the last 35 years at Pacific Gas and Electric, Arizona Public Service, and the Pacific Northwest and National Renewable Energy national labs, Dr. Brown has acquired a comprehensive knowledge of utilities, and their new technologies. He is trained and experienced in strategic business planning. He has served in many industry advisory positions, such as an Arizona Solar Energy Commissioner, and on the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy BoD. He holds BS and PhD degrees in nuclear engineering.
