Michael is a Specialist Leader in Deloitte's Energy & Resources consulting practice and brings 16 years of line management and consulting experience with a focus on the Energy & Utilities industry for the past 5 years - specialization in utility-focused enabling technologies, business/technical integration and optimization, and business process transformation for AMI and Smart Grid applications. Michael manages consulting projects focused on AMI systems integration, smart grid strategy, MDMS implementation, business case development, and integrated program management assisting customers realize significant operational, financial, and organizational improvements.

Michael brings significant and unique experience across the full spectrum of Smart Metering business processes including AMI Mass Deployment, Meter Reading, Network Management, Demand Response, Outage Management, Revenue Cycle Management, Service Orders, Billing, Consumption Presentment, and Asset Management.

Michael also serves as a key industry instructor responsible for the development of training material and instructional delivery including product selection and evaluation, smart metering/smart grid strategy, communications and hardware technologies, business process design and integration, change management implementation, benefits tracking, and program management.

Prior to focusing on the Energy & Utilities industry, Michael served the Aviation, Aerospace, Consumer Products, Financial Services, Insurance, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Media & Entertainment industries with focus on Sourcing, Purchasing/Procurement, Supplier Management and Collaboration, Inventory Management, Demand & Supply Management, Sales & Operations Planning, Systems Implementation and Validation, and Business Performance Management.

Michael is a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and Project Management Professional and brings extensive experience as an instructor, facilitator, trainer and organizational change management professional with focus on business process transformation and systems/program implementation. Michael has written and published various whitepapers related to Smart Meter / Smart Grid program and process implementation and customer adoption strategies.

Package implementation experience with SAP ERP, SAP IS-U, UGS Teamcenter PLM, Manugistics Planning, and Itron Enterprise Edition and eMeter EnergyIP Meter Data Management Systems.
