EnerNOC Announces Seven-Year Efficiency Services Contract with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
EnerNOC has already served as the Commissioning Authority on a variety of buildings for the City of San Francisco, including the San Francisco International Airport, the renovation of the Moscone Center, and the SFPUC’s own headquarters building, a LEED Platinum facility. This agreement builds on the success of those initiatives, as SFPUC continues its commitment to the sustainable and economically sound development of its facilities.

Located in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco, the new Public Safety Building will house the San Francisco Police Department Headquarters, as well as both a police and fire station. Construction on this $168 million facility began in early 2012, during which time EnerNOC has been working with the SFPUC and Department of Public Works to provide a full range of LEED commissioning services for the project.

As Commissioning Authority for the SFPUC, EnerNOC will provide documented confirmation that building systems function according to criteria set forth in the project documents to satisfy the owner’s operational needs for newly constructed facilities. Depending on client needs, EnerNOC’s work may also extend to building envelopes, wastewater, security, electrical distribution, emergency generators, A/V, and telecom systems.
